Ti-Coca
Accompanied by his Wanga-Nègès band, Ti Coca is one of the rare professional troubadours from the troubled island of Haiti. Established in 1976 around the charismatic figure of David Mettelus « Ti-Coca », they performed their first international concert in 1988. They have remained faithful to the suave and saucy merengues that are part of Haïti’s traditional repertoire. World Network produced one European CD called Haïti: Ti-Coca/Toto Bissainthe.
